So starts another year

I'm not really sure what to write, im kinda out of it right now. School is starting, but my mind just isnt there. I just can't seem to get back into anything right now. My mind has been distracted by so many things. I'm a little scattered, so bear with me. Love is tough, and a lot of times hurts. All I want to say about anything about that, is that there's so much more to a relationship than love. Love doesnt always get you through. The rough part is seeing how love can get others through anything. My parents - their loves seems to know no bounds. I don't understand it, but it is the most wonderful, beautiful thing I've ever witnessed and I pray that I find that someday too. I don't know what the future has for me, or how much of a future there is, but it's there. It may be a bit hazy for a while but hopefully I'll find some focus.

I miss the carefree days of younger years. Before friends got complicated before school got complicated and def before relationships did.
No matter what, I know what true love is though. True love is never ending. It may cause enough pain to separate you from the one you love, but it will always be there, deep inside, engraved into your heart and soul. Things happen, i don't know why, but they do. Life. It'll tear you up and rip you apart, but somehow you have to find the glue that will put you back together. You'll always have the scars and the cracks, but hey, they add character.

I'll be ok. Never lose hope. A chance seems a lifetime away.

School???

Wow, it's already September and this summer went by wayyy too fast! I got a class in - AB really helped our my GPA, worked, and just kinda hung out. There wasn't really anything too exciting to report. I went camping a couple weeks ago right after Kira and I moved into our new apartment. About six of us including Kyle, Kira and I went up to the Dells for a few days. We got there on Tuesday afternoon and convinced the lady to open up the campgrounds for us. So we had the whole camp to ourselves. Captain Emil (some crazy lookin guy who lives on the site) took us for a ride in his pontune (?) boat. He was kinda iffy looking but when we started going it was fun. He didn't chop us up into little pieces and leave us in the Wisconsin River like a few of us suspected he might, but he did call all the bumps in the river his ex-wife and ex-mother-in-law and so on... Weird, but whatever, it was a good time.

After we got back from camping we still had to get our apartment in order so that we could actually live and sleep and everything. It's in order, i guess. My room is still a bit scattered, but when is it not? I seem to acquire sooo much junk and no matter how anal I am about keeping it in order, that much junk cannot be kept in order no matter what kind of neat freak you are.

Anyway, classes begin tomorrow, but since I don't have classes on Friday, I don't start until next Tuesday. Unfortunately I have to work Saturday, Sunday and Monday, which means no football game or any relaxation before classes. Too bad, oh well... With gas costing about $45 a fill up, I don't mind working a little bit.

Mom update: She had another appointment today to determine if she is eligable for another transplant. Cross your fingers everyone because dialysis is taking a lot out of her.

House update: The new house is coming along great. All the cabinets are in, now just the staining and finishing and counters I think and some other details. The paint just went on but apparently the color swatch didn't do it justice and it turned out to be pink, so that's getting redone.

I have a job! - also, a lot of other stuff to talk about... brace yourself!

YAY!!! I HAVE A JOB!!! I'm sooo excited! I finally got a job and its July. I am working at Catfish River Arts and Antiques in Stoughton. If you wanna stop on by, it's pretty cool and theres some cheap old stuff, hehe... Anyway, I'm just so excited that I actually am having some sort of income. I am in desparate need of it so I'm going to be working my little asian butt off until school starts and even after school starts. I worked 4-6 today, 10-6 tomorrow, 10-5 sunday, 10-6 on tuesday and we'll see after that.

Other than that, I am done with my class. I got an A on my first midterm and a high B on my paper, and I'm pretty sure I rocked my final exam. I wrote 10 pages for 2 essay questions, so I think that'll be enough. It was pretty easy, and I needed that because of my last semester.

It's only like a month and a week until I move. That's pretty exciting. I am going to get a dishwasher and garbage disposal and all that. That's exciting, maybe the apartment wont be a pit like this one. Unfortunately when I move into one complex, Kyle moves out and goes to another apartment across campus. Too bad they don't allow dogs at either place cause Kyle and I wouldhave gotten one of Dan's new little puppies. A cute little one with a black face and a dark brown body. So little and cute!

So last weekend was a weekend of travel for me. Friday night I drove from Madison to Milwuakee for the Tom Petty concert (which involved driving downtown to summerfest), then saturday, drove to Milwaukee to pick up Kyle and Clara from the bus, back to Mequon for Sarah's party, then to the east side to go to summerfest. Sunday, Clara and I drove up to Green Lake and then back to Milwaukee, then down to the South side for Pat's party. Then Monday, Clara and I drove back to Madison and then when Kyle got off of work he and I drove back to Germantown so that the next day we could ride all the way up to Crivitz to go whitewater rafting. Then, drove back to Madison. I'm so tired of driving. Too bad my job is 1/2 an hour away. Anyway, Tom Petty was awesome, again. Whitewater rafting was awesome, although the water level was low, so we all kept getting stuck on rocks. But it was def worth it and I would go again when the water is higher and camp out.

Mom's not doing well again, shes back to Madison for a surgery this coming week so at least she's closer and I get to visit her. I wish she didn't have to go through all that though.

Ugh!! This summer is so hot without air conditioning and I think it is impossible to find a job in Madison. I've been applying since the beginning of May, I've been on at least 10 interviews, and have called just about every restaurant in the Madison area. I'm getting desperate. I even called my uncle about getting a job driving trucks and doing heavy machinery stuff. Hopefully I will get a job soon because I neeeeeeed one!

Class is going pretty good. I have history from 9-12. The prof is cool. He seems like the tests should be pretty easy. He already gave us all the questions and everything so I think I'll be ok.

Not really much else has been happening. Just hanging out with Kyle and pepole and studying and not really doing much else because I have no money.

Summer

So, summer is finally here. I don't know when it actually occured to me that it came, but now it's here and I'm just around trying to find stuff to do. I'm actually still looking for work, but itll happen. It's nice for the first time in my life to not be doing something.

It hasnt been a very pleasant beginning of break for me though. Mom went into the hospital at the end of finals and has been there till now. Tomorrow shell finally be released as she is in chronic kidney failure, again... Now theyre saying its some stupid doctor's fault and a mix up with meds. She and the family are pretty pissed to say the least. It's tough to hear your mom talk like there isnt much hope. It's even tougher to start to believe it... Prayers please, for all of us. She'll get through it... with prayers.

Other than that, summer has been ok. Just hangin around with Kyle a lot and visiting mom. I guess there's not much of an update but that's life right now...

Happy Mother's day... 1 day till my b-day!

In 2 hours I will catch up with most of the rest of my friends and finally turn 20. It's sad leaving behind my teenage years, but it's also a reminder of how far I've come. From being in an orphanage in Korea at 2 months, to being adopted at 16 months, all the way through a lot of rough life-altering experiences, here I am. I am a healthy, happy, semi-well adjusted, almost junior in college. Thanks to some wonderful and not so great experiences in my life, I have arrived as the person I am today.

I don't know what life is like for anyone else, and I wouldn't trade my life for anyone else's. I like my own. That which did not kill me, made me so strong that it is hard to find something that would break me. People are harsh and kids especially harsh, but you can't learn to accept things which are not brought out in the open.

My mother, who hasn't really had a healthy time in her life since I've known her has taught me what it is to be a woman, a daughter, a friend, and a companion. Though most of my most vivid memories of her are from the hospital and other illness-related things, I wouldn't have traded her for the world. I was brought to her for a reason and I would never deny any of it. No child should have to grow up hearing her mother get sick every morning, or come home from school to find her almost in diabetic coma, or think that her mother 'might not make it this time' more than 3 times in her life, but it has taught me to appreciate so much in life. I may not have as much sympathy for others as I might have if she were healthy, but it was what it was, and it is what it is. Now that she's back to some more bouts with serious health problems, it's hard to find comfort in some things anymore. She was feeling progressively better for about 7 years and over the past few years, she has been getting progressively worse. All I can do is believe that she can overcome everything because as far as I know, she is the strongest, most stubborn woman that I know that is full of more love than I could ever see in anyone else. So, in tribute to mother's day and her birthday, my journal is dedicated to her. She may not be healthy, she may not be physically strong, but she has more inner strength, love, and stoicism than anyone could guess. Even though she has been sick since I've known her, she keeps her head high and never puts herself before anyone else. I hope that I become half the woman that she is.
She never asks for sympathy and I know I don't need it either. All that anyone can do is show their love or at least decency to one another and pray for one another. Life is rough, but those that we love make the ride a lot smoother.

April Showers

Well, when it rains, it pours... I have had a rough past week with studying and being busy. I started bartending classes last weekend and finish this weekend. 10am-6pm saturdays and sundays. Long days, but worth it. I'm learning a lot and hopefully I will get a really good job and work all summer...

I'm so glad summer is approaching. We all feel it on campus with the warm weather, people out on Bascom and State Street... the Terrace is packed and the nights are loud. You can just smell summer in the air. I can't wait till finals are over and I can finally celebrate my birthday. My schedule for that week goes:

May 7: Mifflin Days; study
May 8: Mom's b-day and mother's day brunch; study
May 9: My birthday; study
May 10: Study, Accounting final, study
May 11: Study, Psychology final, study
May 12: Study, Econ Final, study
May 13: Study, Math Final, PARTY!!!

It'll be a long week but once it's over I'll feel soooo relieved!
Oh yeah, and I'm getting a new cell phone free with rebate and credit, so no more worries about running out of battery or other crappy stuff with my old phone, hopefully... YAY!

Well, back to the studying I suppose... wish me luck!

getting warmer...

What a beautiful day outside!! I'm so glad it's starting to warm up! Although this means that it gets harder and harder to study for more and more tests and such. Oh well, I can study outside where there's more distractions...

Spring break was relaxing. I went home and helped my mom clean out the house and get ready to sell. We have so much clutter that we need to get rid of it to make the house look nice before we even try to sell it. I made a trip to Gurnee with Heather and Abby and bought some nice tank tops for the summer, went bowling with some people and beat most if not all the last game with something like 141!

Easter was a lot of fun. I got up for 6am sunrise church service, and then Kyle and I headed up to Green Lake to meet up with my parents and the rest of my family for some Easter fun. It was good to see everyone. After showing him around a bit and introducing him to my grandparent's infamous Ed the pig, we haded back to Madison.

Last week went by really quick, but it seems like all the weeks are going by quick. I did really well on my math exam which was exciting and I got a B on my econ exam which made me very happy. Then last weekend I went back home again to help on the new house and lay in-floor-heating in the basement. It was fun and I got to actually contribute to the house which was cool. Nic and Kyle helped out so it was good to see them. Then on Sunday I came back here and now I am studying as much as I can for this next Accounting exam. This is the only class I'm really worried about anymore. Hopefully it will all go well...

Prayer request: my mom - her health is not doing well again. That's all I can say right now. Updates to come.

Pre-Spring Break

Well, it's already/only Tuesday and spring break is around the corner. I can't wait! I am in real need of a break as are most people that I talk to. Some people are headed to Florida and others to other exotic and warm places, but me, I'm headed back to Milwaukee... yeah, I know youre jealous! Other plans fell through, but it's ok. I'm just going to clean out my room and help my mom and dad get the house ready to sell. I am so excited about our new house. It's going to be awesome! Anyone is invited over anytime.

So yesterday I had a review for econ and it was headed by my TA and another TA for the course. It was kinda funny though because they kept arguing about how to answer the questions. It got a little confusing, but eventually I just focused on what my TA had to say and his accent and I was able to understand what I need to. I'm feeling pretty confident about this midterm so it's a good sign. After the review session I met up with Kyle and we got some food and headed to the Union to study.

I'm still sick but my voice is still hanging on by a thread. My throat is better, now it's just a cloudy head and stuffy nose. So, sorry to all those who I spread the sickness to and don't worry, youre not actually dying, it just feels like it for about half a day.

Have a great next few days before spring break and I'll be back in Milwaukee by Friday night so give me a call if ya wanna do something. :)

Friends

I just wanted to say that I love my friends. The ones who are always there for me and who come up for a night from Indiana, the ones who I can turn to when things are shitty and the ones who can turn to me. I'm so glad that I have a good friend base of guys and gals that I can rely on when things get rough. Parents are great to have, but when they get on your nerves, people your own age are the ones you really need.
I think its kinda funny when people find pleasure in other people's misery. Yeah it's sick and wrong, but everyone does it, and friends encourage it sometimes. that's what theyre there for. At least you have something to be happy about if youre not happy about anything else. So, to anyone who finds comfort in my misery - Have fun, you want some more? I have enough to share and I'm sure you do too.

But now I'm sick so I'm going to bed... I'll write soon when it's not past my bedtime!

death by apartment?

If cleanliness is next to Godliness, our apartment is going to hell! Straight down, no judgment or anything just directly to the darkest, deepest inner circle of hell with the devil himself. It's not like I don't try, I do. Somehow, things just keep piling up. But these things are not all mine either. With four girls living in one apartment, everyone's stuff just gets in the way.

In other news, I once again want to reiterate my hate of selfish spoiled brats. Now, here I must make a distinction. As my wonderful cousin pointed out to me, there is in fact, a difference. I am spoiled, but I am not a brat. Spoiled is when a person is given things they want without asking. I am spoiled by my parents because they help me out with money in times of absolute need, but I don't ask for it. I am maybe a little spoiled by Kyle when he drives me to his place and back and pays for dinner... oh yeah, and opens doors, and I def dont expect him to call everyday ;) But I don't expect enough that either my parents or Kyle to expect things to be given to me, or for their worlds to revolve around me. Obviously they have their own lives and when something important comes up, they need to tend to it, so I don't expect them to drop everything for me. I do appreciate it so much more when they do though.
A spoiled brat on the other hand, is someone who whines and expects people to do things for them that is completely unreasonable. This type of person - "Daddy, get me Uggs and a North Face for Christmas!" "Honey, come here now and take me out!" The sad thing about these kinds of people is that no matter what you say to them to try and make them realize that they are spoiled selfish brats, they will never ever realize the magnitude of the problem. My mom's friend for instance... no matter what you might say, not matter what you might try and make her think, she will always believe that everyone will wait on her. hmmm, does anyone else sense a problem with this? go figure
And another thing with relationships, I'm so glad that Kyle and I don't fight. We haven't ever really had a hard core fight. I've never yelled at him and he's never yelled at me. If he ever yelled at me like some boyfirends yell at their girlfriends, that would be it. This one couple at summerfest - The girl forgot her ticket and he started yelling at her calling her a dumb bitch and selfish and such... I don't understand how some couples fight so much. It doesnt seem like a relationship should last if people are always fighting. In high school, one of my ex-boyfriend's best friends was in a relationship that was obviously going nowhere. Everytime they went anywhere they would have huge yelling matches and throw things and everything. I didn't understand why they kept going back to each other. They eventually broke up for good and found someone that they are better with - someone that they dont have to yell at everytime they see them.

Anyway, enought with the complaining, I think I might be in a fashion show on campus so that will be exciting and I'll be back in my element. Not that I'm in a ton of fashion shows, I just loved it when we did it in high school. OO, and I might start volunteering at an adoption agency, so that's exciting. Other than that life is goin well. Jennie is coming up this weekend from Purdue and I haven't seen her since New Year's so it'll be fun. Nic is coming up too, his birthday is this weekend and he's bringing up my 8 boxes of girlscout cookies too! A weekend of friends and fun! I'm def looking forward to it. And for spring break too. Even though I'm just going home, it will be nice to relax. Plus, I am helping my mom get ready to move by going though everything and making decisions on the new house. Oh, and hopefully a Buck's game with my favorite redhead, and some parties with another redhead - Jeni.

Wow, that's a lot, if you read all of it, sorry for taking up your time but congrats on keeping your attention focused on my boring ranting for that long. I'll try to write more frequently so they arent as long next time!

Random thoughts

So here's the thing. I'm so sick and tired of hearing people complain about things that they have no control over, and things they do. First of all, if they are complaining about something they have no control over then they have no control over it anyway, so get over it. Second of all, if they have control over it, then change whatever it is they are complaining about! I know I complain about stuff but then I realize that some stuff is just not in my control and the things that are can be changed by me.

One thing that I can understand is complaining about other people. Other people can get on your nerves more than anything else. There's this one girl in my class that twirls her hair nonstop and it is the most annoying thing ever! One of my friends in the class and I were talking about it one time and apparently I am not the only one who finds it annoying.

Another thing that really makes me annoyed in every way possible is selfish people. I know I've written a journal about this before, but come on. There's always more to say about this. Selfish people suck. That's all there is to it. Everyone can be selfish sometimes but some people who think that everything around them is for them and the entire world revolves around them is just rediculous. Do people really think that other people care about them that much. Sometimes the only reason I listen to selfish people rant is to see how rediculous their rant is. Purely for entertainment, not for sympathy or empathy. That may be selfish in itself, but isnt every action anyone does for selfish gratification? That's more philosophy talking though.

Anyway, just thought I'd get that off my chest. I needed a place to vent otherwise I wouldnt be able to hold it in any longer.

Now maybe I'll go out tonight... tomorrow is back to Milwaukee and on to Green Lake for my aunt's Baby shower!!

Oh yeah, got a call from Joe Boehlke today. Back from Iraq all safe and sound. It was good to hear from him again. And my cousin is pregnant, yay. So, it's been a good week all in all besides the rush of classes and the eternal threat of midterms.

V-Day

What a great Valentine's Day this year! What a plus that I didn't get dumped. It's probably like the first Valentine's day that I've actually had a Valentine - for the whole day.

Kyle and I decided to go out for a late dinner because we figured it would be too crowded earlier in the night and so to miss the crowds and avoid waiting, we decided to eat around 9pm. He showed up with a dozen white roses and some chocolates in an Elvis tin (cute!) Then dinner was great! A nice dinner with my guy. It was great to be dressed up and at a nice restaurant with him. It meant so much because I feel like he shouldnt be spending his hard earned money on me but he did. (Isn't a man with his own money so much more respectable?) Plus, we don't do anything like this often, and we never do presents, so it just made the day so much more special because I appreciate it when it does happen. Then, after dinner, dessert, a nice walk to his car, we went over to his place. (Unfortunately the shoes I wore - that I had previously vowed never to wear again - killed my feet by the end of the night.)

Anyway, just thought I'd take a not needed break from the time I don't have for studying.

The song is for my favorite redhead!

what else?

So it's been quite a while and I'm not going to bore you with all the mundane details of my life because it just isnt that exciting. My life basically consists of class, food, sleep, friends, family and Kyle. I had 2 midterms this week and have another 2 next week which means that I have to do so much studying this week.

I guess I really don't have anything really exciting to say, but after I get my bellybutton pierced today I will have plenty to talk about especially if I go out this weekend. And after Valentine's Day and all that jazz...

Have a good weekend all! I know I will, hopefully...

Beginning of Semester Blues

So I'm back in Madison for second semester. Great. Sure...

Already had homework due today and found out that accounting has pre assignments and post-assignments every day; spent 380 on books for only 4 classes; and i still dont have a notebook or half my food because it didnt fit in the car up and my mom stillhasnt made the trip up.

Besides that, my classes seem ok. As long as I keep up with work, i should be ok.

Break was tons of fun... I got in a car accident and i worked the whole time. Fun fun. The car accident was nothing major, just that i spun around a couple times on the freeway. I didn't hit anyone else, thank the Lord, but I did put the car in the shop and up the insurance quite a bit. Work was so-so... I played office bitch for 2 weeks in the HR department of Harley-Davidson. That was ok... they gave me a manager's cube to sit in cause the 'quietly let her go' a couple weeks before I got there.

Besides that, nothing really new... I suppose I should go and do homework of something productive, maybe read my cosmo...

snow

Snow... that white stuff that comes during the winter. It's good and it's bad. Today, it was bad. The snow, although pretty was my enemy today. After spending about 10 minutes clearing snow off my car because there was about a foot of snow on it, I headed through my unplowed neighborhood (it's still not plowed at 10:30) to work. I took the freeway as usual, it looked pretty dead and pretty well cleared off. Just as I was merging to get off my exit, I lost control of the car and swerved through the two lanes I was in and into the far left rail. After I bounced off that I swerved across the three lanes of freeway and ended up in the far right shoulder of the road where I stopped in some snow. So, I never made it to work... bad way to start the day but I get a paid day off. I suppose it evens out. However, I don't want to go back into work and I don't want to hear my dad say another time, "I never get on the freeway, that's just stupid... How fast were you driving?..."

Grrr... Well, that's all for today. The O.C. is on tonight and I'm already changed and bundled up for my day at home. Hopefully the roads will be good enough for tomorrow so Kyle can come back for the weekend.

1 down, 3 to go

Last weekend was sooo much fun! On Friday night I just hung out until Kyle and I went to go rent some movies and then we went back to his place and made some popcorn (homemade, not bag) and watched Stepford Wives.

Saturday morning slept in a bit and then went back to Milwaukee. When I went back to Milwaukee I headed out for a tan right away and showered. Heather picked me up for a great game at the Bradley Center Badgers vs. Golden Eagles. Unfortunately Badgers lost, but we still played a good game. Heather got hit in the head with a fry which was pretty funny... After the game we went over to Nic's and just chilled for a while.

Sunday morning I woke up at 6:30 in order to just roll out of bed and put on layers and layers of clothes in order to hit the road by 7. We stopped at IHOP on the way up for a very delicious and very filling breakfast. I had the breakfast sampler which included 2 eggs (over easy), 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 hashbrowns, 2 ham, 2 pancakes... it was yummy!! I saved the side of buscuit for later. Then we met up with the rest of the group at a bar where everyone was already downing bloody marys. After getting kinda yelled at we headed on to the tailgating. The parking lot of Andrezzi's. So this is probably around 12... Keep in mind that it's cold, rainy and windy. So one of the guys had this amazing thing on the back of his truck... he created an upright with flags flying from it, so of course we all had to kick field goals at it... Of course, I was no where near close. To keep warm Heather and I wrestled a bit, played catch and what not. Others drank. We tried to get into the bar to go to the bathroom and warm up and they wouldnt let us in because we didn't have ids so my dad had to come with us and they marked our hands... such a hassel/hastle?? (idk, i just had a final and ive been drinking) So they also had food, my mom's carmel corn and a lot of chili!! We headed to the game just about when I was about to go numb, so I put on my last layers and in we went. My first time in so I loved it. We made our way up to where we were sitting which warmed me up quite a bit. Once we got out there we enjoyed the game! After peanuts and the guys around us having many beers later... we headed back to the car happy. At least one of the teams I was rooting for all weekend won. We waited in the parking lot for a while to let traffic clear up a bit. We were all getting pretty cold by then though. The sun that wasn't out all day was down and the wind was picking up. So after another bowl of chili and some carmel corn, we hit the road. I don't remember any of the ride home since I was sleeping, but we got back at a good time, I made a phone call and went to bed exhausted.

This week really isn't much to write about. Tuesday night Kyle came over and we watched our other movie we rented last Friday - The Godfather... well, more like we slept through it. It was long and we were tired... The rest of the week was just a lot of "Yay, this is the last lecture for ____ class!" Today was all studying after I woke up, and so was yesterday. I had a final at 7:30 which went ok... Tomorrow will start the studying for the remaining 3... I'm keepin it easy though, sleeping in and just taking my good sweet time.

All else is good, gret, peachy... I'm a happy little asian! (Besides he fact that we don't really have heat in our bedrooms in our apartment...)

Tired.

Don't even remember the last time I wrote, so I'll just write about this past weekend. On Thursday Heather and I went to Primetime but nothing after that. It was pretty much a stay at home night. I think we just watched a movie or something

Friday my parents came up and brought the tree so now we have a beautiful Christmas tree in our living room. That was early in the morning so I stayed at home for the day and studied... well, not really. I went over to Kyle's by 10:30 or so and was there until like 2, then I just kinda wasted time for a while. Heather, Abby and I all went to see Garden State which I loved. I would recommend it for anyone in the mood to laugh with just the right touch of seriousness. Then we came home and just hung out for a while. We played Trivial Pursuit 90s addition, Kira and me against Heather and Abby but it ended up being mostly me because Kira was drinking and was going out. Long story short, we won, we kicked Heather and Abby's ass, asses... idk. Then we just watched a movie. Kyle called and I was going to go out but I never received a call back to let me know where to meet him, so I ended up staying in for the night. Despite drama (none involving me and Heather) we got to sleep...

Saturday I slept till around 1 which was not the plan. I should have gotten up around 10 and studied, but oh well. By the time I got all ready, Heather was home so Heather, Kira, Abby and I went to the mall for a little Christmas shopping. I made a dent, but I still have much to do. I did treat myself to a dvd, a cd and a watch though. We went to Noodles and brought it home to eat. We got home and watched my dvd, "Man on fire" with Denzel and then went to Jim's (Nic's friend) house for his birthday. It was fun. Kyle was there, so I finally was able to meet up with him. Kyle, Heather, Kira and I played some beer pong and such and there was music, Nic did his version of the worm, and we all had a good time. After a while it died down, Heather and Kira headed for home... one of them may or may not have had a guest with them... and Kyle and I headed for his place.

Today I slept pretty late again. Kyle drove me back here around 1 or 2, I really don't remember. And since then I've showered, taken a nap, watched the Packers get beat and attempted homework. So, here I am, again... attempting homework and as you can see, I've been easily distracted today. So wish me luck, I'm going to try again.

Good Day!

So we'll start with this past weekend. On Friday Kira, Heather, Rachel, Kyle and Jeff and I went over to Raffy's for a party. That was fun. They had good music and good company! We left pretty early though. After a car ride over there, we left on foot toward college court but nothing was really going on so we headed home for the night.

Saturday Heather and I headed back to Milwaukee for the weekend. I hit the tanning bed, went home and studied a lil, watched the Badgers get their butts kicked, went to church, and then watched the Badgers lose some more and then Heather picked me up for the fashion show. It was ok, of course not as good as when I was coordinator but, whatcha gonna do... After about half of that Heather and I went to pick up Nic and then went to visit Matt at work. Matt was just getting off so we went to get something to eat and met him at his house to wait for everyone else and eat. Lindsey and Matt joined us there and then we went bowling in Menomonee Falls, close to home so that was good.

Sunday I woke up early and cooked Thanksgiving meal for my mom's side of the family. 2 Ducks, Stuffing a bottle of wine and salads and salads later, we were eating one of the best meals in a while. Then we all headed down to the new property to see how the progress was going. Then Heather and I came back to Madison and I crammed my head with Math.

This morning was a nightmare! Math was the worst thing ever and of course lecture on Wednesday for either of my classes were not canceled. But after Linguistics I met up with Kyle and we came back to the apt for some food and then headed to the library for some studying. Now I'm home and relaxin and waiting for Heather to get back home to watch American History X which is the greatest movie ever with Edward Norton!

Chi-town birthday fun!

This past weekend was a blast! Friday Rachel, Kira and I went shopping for Heather's birthday present and that night Kira, Heather me and Kira's friend went to see Alfie which was not that great by the way. I hate it when characters talk to the camera. It's like, why am I watching this, the whole reason for me to see a movie is to escape into someone else's life for 2 hours but instead I'm included in your problems? No thank you. Wouldn't you feel stupid if you were the actor speaking into the camera with 50 other people on crew watching you from behind? I would. Anyway, we called it an early night cause we were getting up early to go to Chicago the next morning.

Saturday morning we left pretty early by college standards, sometime before 9am. We went to Waukesha to pick up Lindsey and met Heather's parents to exchange gifts and what not. Then we headed down to Chicago. And you'd all be very proud to know that I managed Chicago traffic like a pro. Well, we parked the car near the hotel and made our way to the Art Institute of Chicago. That was a lot of fun. We all got to see what we wanted to see and so we were satisfied. Once we ate and got our fill of art we headed to the Magnificent Mile to do a little shopping. It was so crowded it felt like a Christmas crowd. After everyone got tired and maybe a touch crabby we headed back to check in. Did that, and changed then headed to dinner. Across the street, real nice for 5 tired and sore girls. The resteraunt was great, big Italian meal. But when they seated us they walked us through the kitchen which was the weirdest thing I think I've ever done at a resteraunt. I don't think that could be very sanitary. Anyway... after dinner we got dessert to go and went back to the hotel to enjoy a little birthday bubbly and dessert. Hot tub, sauna, more bubblly and bed.

Sunday we woke up at a decent hour and went out to do more shoping and headed back by 1. We got home by 4 something after dropping Lindsey off. I spent the rest of the night doing pretty much nothing until I remembered I had a Linguistics midterm the next day. Then I studied, watched the American Music Awards and went to bed. (Usher rocks)

Today was just another boring Monday. 2 classes, 1 of them included a midterm which I wasn't too happy about, but whatever. I am currently bored out of my mind, typing a journal and watching Cold Mountain. Luckily Elf comes out tomorrow so I can buy it and spend more money and not be bored.

I miss.... lots of things...

This week is almost over, thank God! I really need to start concentrating on stuff once I clear my thoughts. I have a lot of stuff to catch up on. The O.C. starts again tonight so that will be something to look forward to... I might go home again this weekend. Just relax and do homework. My parents broke ground on their new house today or yesterday so they are going to burn a lot of brush from the property. Maybe I'll go and join in on the fire.

Halloween 04

Have you been naughty or nice? ;)

This past weekend started out amazingly. Friday I decided to skip a couple classes and only went to the one that reeaaalllyy mattered. I got my midterm back which was excellent - 95%. 2 essays and 5 ids. Then I was ready to start my weekend. Kira's mom took us to the mall and around to look for santa hats and boots and such for our costumes, then to the grocery store. We got home and then just chilled for a while. Kyle and his roomate got here and we all just sat around, drank and just chilled until it was time to go out. Jeni, Courtney and Chris all got here just as we were heading out so just in time. Then we went over to Jeff's for some jello shots and then headed to a party. The rest of the night was kinda a blur and sleep didnt happen until around 3 for some unforseen reasons of rain, drama and random shit. Lots of people stayed over, all good company.

Saturday we woke up, got ready and Kira and I went out to State St. to clear our heads, and do a little shopping. It's amazing how shopping makes the day get so much better. Then we came back to the apartment and ate and watched movies until it was time to go out again. Saturday night was a ton times better and more crowded, especially on State St. We first went to Jeff's for a gin bucket/turkey baster party. Confused yet? It was fun and all I can say is I got kissed 3 times and Heather's face ended up in my boobs... After that Heather and I went to Jim's and ran into Melissa Irish, Nate, Aaron and maybe some other people on the way over. Took a pic and went on our way. We came back from Jim's after not finding anyone there and State St. was great. We took a pic with a dude in a g-string. My boobs look huge in the pic, among other things... We went back to the apartment where everyone else was and headed back to State. It got really crowded, saw Susie, Jimmy and maybe other people, I don't quite remember. Walked a bit and then came back. It was getting cold and rowdy. So Courtney stopped by later to pick up his things and aparantly they got tear gased and peppersprayed. Not fun.

This morning I woke up at a decent time and ate breakfast and watched scary movies all day with the roomies. Finally did some homework towards the end of the day and here I am. Waiting for another week of school 2 weeks behind... Wish me luck cause here I go!

Halloween it is a'comin

So this weekend was great. Tons of fun and maybe a little guilt too.

Friday night Kira, Rachel and I went back to Milwaukee for a dance. We got back around 5 or so and went to Maggiano's for dinner. What a great dinner! I got a whole week's worth of food for in one meal. I plan on enjoying it all week. After dinner we met up with Heather to do a little shopping which I must say was quite successful. I got a cute tube top and tall black boots to go with my costume for this weekend. From there we rushed home to get ready and rushed back out to the dance. We met up with Carlos and headed to the south side. Drank a little in the car (thanks to Carlos) and then headed in. Drank a little more and danced the rest of the night. Hip-hop, merenge, salsa...

Saturday morning we headed straight back up to Madison, Heather drove because the rest of us were exhausted. Got home pretty early and drank. Headed to the game which was a great game by the way. Great seats, good company and we won! Undefeated Badgers!! Kickin some ass! After the game we all came back and took a little nap. Rachel and I slept in the living room aparently sleeping like rocks. After the nap we ate, drank and went out. Kira knew this guy at a frat down the street and it was a grafiti party but when we got there (after, in the words of Kira, "feeling like the biggest tools" because of walking down Langdon in white tank tops) no one else was wearing white. We felt soooo stupid but when we got inside everyone said other people were downstairs. So at least we found more people downstairs. There were a lot of alumni there which was creepy cause they tried dancing with us and staring at us but it was good cause I could flirt and get beer quicker. I saw a friend of a friend and danced with him. And met another Korean (but hes a freshman...) and danced with him (aparently 1/2 Koreans have no rhythm). I wrote on every guy I could, "I love asians." It was fun. So we left after a while and headed back home. After being home for about an hour I got a call from Evans who convinced me to go out yet again. So we went out to a frat down the street and did a little dancing. After a while we headed back to his place and watched 'Day after tomorrow' which wasnt good at all. Styed there, got breakfast in bed, and headed back.

Sunday was pretty much nothing besides figuring out that there is absolutely no way of controlling the temperature in our apartment so we were all pretty much melting to death last night. Our room stayed pretty cool besides the fact that all other rooms are practically on fire so they heat the rest of the apartment. we opened up all windows and turned on all fans. Today hasnt been too bad. The temperature is so nice and it's sunny outside. So, happy Monday everyone. Looking forward to this weekend!

The Ten Commandments of College

The Ten Commandments of College

Student was searching for divine inspiration. Student walked high on the mountain of knowledge and came across God. Student asked God how to live life as a college kid should. And God said unto him, follow these Ten Commandments and you shall be all a college kid is. And Student thanked God and it was good. And Student spread the Ten Commandments of College to all.

I- Thou Shalt Nap
And God gave unto Student a great gift, the gift of napping. God said to him, You shall spend half your day napping. You shall nap in class, in your room and in your friend’s room. And God said, if you don’t nap, you will not be able to stay up all night drinking. And Student said, Nap I shall, and it was good.

II- Thou Shalt Get Sick All the Time
Now God said to Student, you must be sick all of the time. And student said why. And God said unto him, you shall share drinks, stay up too late, drink too much and make out with people you don’t know. Therefore, God said, you shall be sick all year round. But God said, blessed are the sick for they have partied the hardest. And it was good.

III- Thou Shalt Write Witty Away Messages
Student asked, but God, how will I show everyone that I am funny? And God said unto him, thou shall write witty away messages. God said to student, you shall never just say you are in the shower, you shall say you are getting wet and wild…in the shower. You shall never say you are at class, you shall say you are sleeping…in class. God said, if you do not write witty away messages, I shall smite you. Blessed are the funny, for they will get many girls to be their friends but never hook up with them. And it was good.

IV- Thou Shalt Wear a Hoodie
And then Student asked God, God how do I look like a college kid. And God said unto student, you must wear a hoodie, for it is a useful garment. And you shall never wash it either. Student asked God what kind of Hoodie should it be and God said, you shall own one with your school’s logo on it and you shall own many others of varying colors and creeds. And Student was pleased and God was pleased.

V- Thou Shalt Shit a Lot
And Student asked of his bathroom habit and God told him, Student, you shall eat in the Cafeteria and you shall shit a lot. And it will not be good shit, it will be the shit of the devil for your ass shall burn for hours. Your school shall put laxatives in their food and you shall feel their pain. And Student began to weep, and God said unto him, Student, fear not the shit, for all your fellow students will be experiencing the same. And Student dried his eyes and thanked God and God told him to use wet naps to ease the pain.

VI- Thou Shalt Eat EasyMac
Student asked unto God if there was any alternatives to the cafeteria, and God said to him, you shall eat a lot of EasyMac. It is easy to make and you don’t need milk or a stove. And student said microwaves were forbidden by the RA. And God said to him, you shall hide the microwave under your bed with a towel on top. And Student asked, what if it is discovered. And God told him to stop being such a pussy, and it was good.

VII- Thou Shalt Hook Up
Student then asked of sex. And God said, Student, you shall hook up and be happy. You shall go home with random people every weekend and forget about them the next day. You shall see them at class and be awkward amongst their company. You shall exchange saliva at bars and parties and it will be good. And Student became gleeful and God told Student to wrap it up because He knows where she has been, but Student does not.

VIII- Thou Shalt Join a Club and Never Go to Meetings
Student inquired of his spare time and God reminded him that he should be napping. But Student said he wanted to do other things. So God said unto him, you shall join a club at the beginning of the semester, but then never go to meetings. And Student asked why he should not go to meetings, and God told him, because the glee club is gay. And Student understood His wisdom.

IX- Thou Shalt Wake Up Confused
God said to Student, there will come many a day when you shall wake up in the bed of another and not know where you are. You will not remember what you did last night and you shall be confused. You will see that you have nipple rings and a tattoo now and are covered in Sharpie. And Student was disturbed by this, but God said, you shall tell great stories about it to your friends someday. And Student understood and God took a sip of a beer.

And God gave Student the final Commandment

X- Thou Shalt Gain Weight
And Student wished to hear the final commandment and God said he would not like it. But Student insisted, so God said unto him, you shall gain weight. However, God said, you will not buy new clothes, so you will wear sweat pants a lot. God said, Student, you will watch a lot of TV and become fat to which Student wept profusely. But God comforted Student saying, you will still get ass even if you cannot tie your shoes anymore. Student felt better and God pointed to Student’s chest saying, those will soon be bitch tits. And it was good.

This is the word of God, follow the Ten Commandments of College or you will be smote!
